Gloria Ann Horvath Schrott-Kovel, 55, of McKeesport/Springdale, passed on the morning of January 8, 2021.

Gloria was a Norwin High School graduate, class of 1984 and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Penn State University in 2010. Gloria was an avid camper and loved anything outdoors and working with children. She was a local school bus driver for 16 years, Scout leader, baseball and softball coach. She devoted her life to helping and nurturing others. She was the life of the party, and the type of person that was hard not to love.
Preceded in death by her father, Raymond E Horvath of Irwin; Her first husband of 22 years, Donald Schrott Jr., of West Mifflin and survived by their three children, Anne Schrott, Donald Schrott and wife Jeanetta, and Amanda Schrott.
Survived by her second husband of five years, John Kovel of Springdale, and stepchildren, Jayna Kovel, Henry Kovel, and Bill Smolter; sisters, Bonnie Terry and husband James of Henderson, NC, Tracie Gebis and husband Ted of McKeesport, Melissa Gill and husband John of Buchanan, VA, Michelle Curry and husband Josh of Bel Air, MD, Holly Ferencuha and husband Rob of Westmoreland City, and Raymond Horvath and wife Carleen of Columbia, SC; Niece to Bryan Rutter of Yucaipa, CA, and aunt to many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
